Continue readingYesterday I wanted to photograph some beautiful black and white compositions in the wood. It was the first day of my vacation.
But the scenery did not seem to be ready for black & white. Or was it me?

Bern. Switzerland. Photoessay. November 22 and 23, 2019.
Last weekend I was in Bern for a two-days coaching for one of my customers. As usual I was quite early in the morning to make sure everything was ready for the day, so I decided to slow down before the coaching and photograph the street lightning of Wankdorf square first.

Especially during the summer months the frenzy of thousands of cars on the highway heading north comes to an abrupt end as they get stuck in the omnipresent traffic jam south of the 16.8 km long Gotthard Road Tunnel (map, Wikipedia), which connects the swiss-italian part with the swiss-german part of Switzerland.

Afterwork.
Savouring a fine glass of B.O.R.I.S. The Crusher Oatmeal Stout and a small plate of this delicious sushi of Piedmontese beef at the Biercafe ‘Au Trappiste’; afterwards enjoying the delicious icecream (two cones with fior di latte and nocciola, and joghurt and lavender – what a dream!) at the Gelateria di Berna (Marzili); then I chased the late evening light on the skyline at ‘Zytglogge’ in Berne, before my check in at Fleury’s. What a beautiful and intense day!
