one hour moment

Photoessay. July 15, 2019.

All images were made within a “one hour moment” on the upper deck of the MV Hjaltland between Lerwick (Shetland Islands) and Kirkwall (Orkney).

Dramatic and constantly changing light
Threatening dark clouds interfering with brilliant bright skies
Warm orange rays of sunlight struggling with dark overwhelming grays
And finally the calm blue dawn –
I am addicted to those nordic colors.
