I loved the view
from my cottage on Barra across Bàgh a Tuath to Fùidheigh.
The view from the outside into
the cottage was less photogenic and postcard-perfect, but even more interesting. Maybe a bit
complicated. Certainly not that simple.
Outside-in. Inside-Out.
Barra.
Western Isles.
The picture above was taken from outside the cottage into the cottage through the first window (1).
Inside, either see the landscape through the second window (2) or the reflection of the third window (3)
and the
clouds outside.
Simple, isn't it? - outside-in, inside-out.
Most reflections of light seem too bright, see the jellyfish example below.
Since only a small part of the light is actually reflected (by the window of the other car opposite,
in our example), the overall brightness of the light must be much higher than the reflection itself.
Would we think a wall lit directly by the sun is too bright?
Light reflections like jellyfish?
