Back in my old film days I was processing my black and white negative films in my own darkroom – working on the finest 35 mm and 6×6 and 6×7 cm medium format negatives, and afterwards spent a lot of time in the positive darkroom to finally get fantastic fine art black and white prints on silver rich baryta paper.
Today I still love to shoot in black and white or even more in monochrome color using my modern digital cameras.
Here is a bunch of my recent monochrome images of three epic train stations in Basel, Paris and Bédarieux. I love the analogue film look of the images.

favourite #1. no one loves – but me

Apple Blossoms

Today is a very special day – I am going to write about the making of one of my special favourites, which no one loves – but me.

As I mentioned in one of my latest articles it is most important to develop and keep your own style in photography (and everywhere else as well – by the way!) – so (for me as a keen photo enthusiast) it is not important if everyone likes my images – but it is most important, if I like them, and what I am feeling looking at them. I would like to show you the “making of” of one of those “rather difficult” images – it is one of my favourites.
