Northwest Highlands of Scotland. August 18, 2018. Photoessay.
Starting after #TheBestHotChocolate at Balnakeil Bay in the rain, I turned to the South along Kyle of Durness and ended up with Prince’ Purple Rain at Kinlochbervie harbour.
Enjoying Prince’ Purple Rain. In the Rain.
Balnakeil Bay
Rain all over the sandy beach and tons of greys – true monochrome with a slight touch of green. I love those tones.
Kyle of Durness
Dark mystical sadness all along my way.
Pouring rain and stormy gusts all over the day.
Missing daylight. Missing colors.
Solitude and melancholy.Feeling alone. Being homesick.
The best location to be right now would be in front of the warm fire place in the lonely lodge on the opposite side of Kyle of Durness sipping one of #TheBestHotChocolates of Cocoa Mountain.
Can you spot the lonely lodge? View to a) the North, b) the South.
#stopbeinghomesick.
My hair is #gettingwet but I am #waterandweathersealed 😉
Kinlochbervie
At Kinlochbervie the weather is getting slightly better – finally! And the colors are getting more and more purple. And with them my mood.
Lovely warm colors.
The best location for Prince’ Purple Rain is Kinlochbervie harbour.

Prince’ best performance ever. At Kinlochbervie harbour.
