Photoessay. Baden, Switzerland. November 27, 2019.
Every last Wednesday before the first Advent we celebrate “Liechterwecke” (translated something like: ‘arousing lights’) in Baden. This time my daughter Olivia (14) wrote an article about this tradition.

Lovely report Christian and congrats to your daughter for the article too. The photos are a good proof that the Ricoh is also capable for some cool bokeh images. Frohes neues!
Dear George
Thank you so much for your nice feedback and the congrats to my daughter, I am glad to forward them to Olivia. She’ll be happy!
Well to be honest, the last two images were made with my new Canon EOS R and the RF 35/1.8 wide open. For a long time I wanted to try out full frame and just before Xmas I bought the EOS R and the 35/1.8. So far I am happy with it, unless the larger form factor compared to the RICOH GR II … I guess this is the price I have to pay going full frame. Nevertheless I still love my small little RICOH GR II, and all the other images of the Xmas lights were made with the RICOH.
And last but not least Happy New Year and only the best! Or in Swiss German: Es guets Nöis!
