Deeply impressed by Jun’ichirō Tanizakis (Jun’ichirō Tanizaki 谷崎 潤一郎, Tanizaki Jun’ichirō; 24 July 1886 – 30 July 1965) «In Praise of Shadows» (陰翳礼讃 In’ei raisan, written in 1933)—the beautiful fleeting reflections of light and shadows on a wall made me think about the transcendence of life.

fleeting reflections of light and shadows—
a visual perception
what if we, too, are made of it—
light and shadows folding into form—are we real?

open your mind—widen your perspective
—but keep the line—
even as things will drift and move
forward—backward—up and down—
and still remain the same—
dancing shadows in the fleeting light
before they are gone

embrace the richness and beauty
of light and darkness—
«were it not for [light and] shadows
there would be no beauty»1

«there is beauty everywhere, within everything
all comes into being and passes away—
there is no beginning and no end, all is in transient flow
—all is impermanent and incomplete.»2

«simply create—enjoy—grow»2
